FADE IN:
INT. STUDIO -- VERY LATE AT NIGHT
VOICE (V.O.) drifts in, calm but weighted.
Behind every Weekend Studios' story, there is one of sleepless nights, endless video calls, and editing to the point of diminishing return. We catch glimpses of the TEAM — exhausted but lively, exchanging glances, laughter, and silence.

field notes

I really wanted to capture the chaos of her internal struggle and felt like the texture and randomness that real modular and polyphonic synths provide, perfectly encapsulated that idea.
Elliot Eyre
The drum beat used a Rolan 808 drum sequencer from the 80s that has been used in tons of classic songs.
Elliot Eyre
The main theme and end piece were produced using entirely analog synths, including the Oberheim OB6 and a selection of modular and eurorack synthesizers.
Elliot Eyre
It's a unique experience re-cutting and re-examining my past work, it feels both surreal and uncomfortable. However, as I worked through the process and began to see Dani the way I originally intended, unrestricted by time, I began to enjoy the process and appreciate my work again.
Malachi Abbott
The nightclub scene was shot in an active bar and we had a 3 hour window to shoot everything.
